How They Started
The B2B Marketing Breakfasts were started in Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin in 2024 as a way for B2B marketers to connect.
B2B is different from B2C, and Steve Robinson wanted to get B2B marketers in the same room to have meaningful conversations about the unique challenges that we face, from unreasonable expectations from sales to long sales cycles and impossible asks for attribution.
These breakfasts have been a huge success and have brought amazing people together. Now it’s time to expand and bring this format to other cities.
How They Work
The format is low-key and simple:
- Arrive early or on time, order food if you want or just coffee and head back to the tables marked for the breakfast.
- We’ll go around the table and introduce ourselves and propose a topic we’d like to hear from the group on (this is why you want to get there early or on time).
- If the conversation dries up, you can pull a card from the conversation starting deck in front of you to get the conversation flowing again, though this pretty much never happens.
- We will close the official gathering at 9am, but feel free to stick around a few minutes to wrap up or work a bit from the venue.
Can’t make a breakfast? No worries. Just RSVP no so the organizer knows how many people to expect.
The Facebook Group
The B2B Marketing Breakfast Facebook group is a great ways to stay connected between breakfasts and get advice from the community on-demand, as well as build your network outside your own city. We actively moderate the group and work hard to ensure it remains a supportive, collaborative space to grow with your peers.
